Tales From The Crypt - Friday 2nd December 2022
After yesterday's at times frenetic activity, today is a sea of calm. Q is working, I have the day off and am planning to take it easy. After getting some boring online admin down, I sat down with a coffee and watched 'In The Court Of The Crimson King: King Crimson at 50'. It is quite a documentary. Robert Fripp comes across as a deep thinker, a perfectionist and perhaps also a dictator. The best parts involve Bill Rieflin. As the documentary unfolds, it transpires that he is very ill with cancer, in pain all the time and, ultimately, terminal. He dies during the making of the documentary. This is very moving and his attitude to life is inspiring, I think the sections in which he reveals his situation are worth the price of admission alone. It is an excellent film that I'd highly recommend.
