Love, Poetry and Revolution - Saturday 28th January 2023

I'm already back from shopping and now I'm getting ready to go for a walk in Middletonia with schoolfriends. After walking we're planning to grab some lunch and then back home for chores. What chores? I'll have a pint, please. Time has flown and I'm running late, but off to meet up for above-mentioned walk. It's late afternoon (is it? what's mid-afternoon? what's late afternoon? when does evening begin? I have my own understanding of those terms, but I wonder if we'd agree?) and I'm home.  Five school friends (including me) enjoyed a wonderful walk along a route chosen by one of the team. (Thanks for organising the walk and the meal 😄). This is a semi-regular event, but for various reasons I've missed the last three or four. On this occasion it wasn't possible for Q to join us, but hopefully next time she will. The fresh air, exercise and company were great. A great way to spend a Saturday. Tales From The Crypt - Tuesday 26th July 2022

As far as I can tell, no real change with E, though I don't get to speak to the consultant today. I do manage to have a consultation with my GP and am now signed off work for the next couple of weeks.  That, at least, is a relief as I am struggling to do any of the things I'd normally do, let alone work. My powers of concentration seem to have deserted me. Stress is at an all-time high and I have gladly accepted an invitation for a two-night break on the south coast with Q.  There are other forms of temporary escape, but this one is probably better for my health than any of those.  Mid-afternoon I head south. Should anything change with E I'll head back, but for now, at least, she seems to be stable. I'll be back at the hospital before the weekend. What have I been doing today?  Oh, yes, work!  It is crazy busy at the moment both work-wise and trying to organise a holiday and respite for E. Things seem like they are coming together, though I guess I won't believe it fully until we're on our way.  Getting E settled in the nursing home on Friday will be the first major hurdle passed. Work Work Work Luckily my day has been enlivened with chats and messaging with Q, which compensates for most things. Again I am lucky to have such wonderful friends and E's and my meds have been arranged with perfect timing, and, specifically mine have been delivered this evening by someone who has been wonderful to us. I could try and say how much this means to me, but I don't think there are adequate words. Thank you very much, will have to do for now. Usual Wednesday evening dinner and bin fun, with lashings of wind and rain.  Of course this is spring, so what else should I expect? Son #3 and I ate dinner together. Son #2 is havin...
