Tales From The Crypt - Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th February 2022

Saturday begins on the south coast, but before long (but longer than it should have been!!) I'm driving us north towards Newbury in West Berkshire. [Most of what follows has been written after the event!] After leaving slightly later than intended, I was quite pleased with our journey time, only to discover I had the meet time wrong by 30 minutes, so that in the end we arrived more than half an hour late. The friends we met took the piss out of me, as they should and so rather than relying on my brain, next time I'm going to put the time in my calendar.  Despite our late start, we managed a decent walk around Snelsmore Common taking in Donnington Castle en-route, and even made it to the Bunk-up Inn in time for a lunch booking.  Amazingly the weather was really good until after we all headed for home, when things took a turn for the worse. Lockdown Diary - Monday 13th April 2020

Yoga again this morning: good session but I arrived in Zoom 10 minutes late, owing to the laptop doing a virus scan which slowed things down so much I had re-boot.  Despite (or probably because of) starting the laptop an hour earlier, I still go caught out.  Must see if I can find a way to configure McAfee to either ask before starting a scan or to do it later in the day. A small project. After yoga, coffee! Finished reading 'Ghost Wall', though I'll have to save my thoughts on it until after book club discusses it on the 4th May.  Started 'The Queue' as I only have a week to read it in - good job I'm on leave this week! Since I spent so much time at the weekend doing washing and other chores, I'm planning another relaxing do.  Reading. Start an online course. That sort of thing.
