Love, Poetry and Revolution - Tuesday 13th October 2026

[Just so you know, this has been written with the help of voice-to-text typing, so please excuse any mistakes! OK, here we go]

Hello, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything here, but I’m about to change that. So here is my first blog post after major brain surgery to remove a tumour (a meningioma, to be precise) from the right side of my head, and I was lucky enough - I think that’s the right phrase - to have a stroke, which affects the left side of my body. A full set.

I am recovering slowly in Liverpool with the help of Q, who is now – as of the 18th of August – my wife. I left hospital (the RBH) with Q on September 18th and have been living in Liverpool ever since.  I now have carers three times a day, except at weekends, when once a day in the morning will suffice.

I will close this blog by saying that I am in recovery, and I hope to write more when I next get a chance. Speak to you soon and see you later… now there’s just the small matter of some music to end with.
