Lockdown Diary - Wednesday 2nd December 2020

Usual early start with yoga at 7 a.m. and then work as soon as I can get showered and dressed.

After that completely immersed in work.

I had a brief break when the plumber arrived to take a look at the under-sink waste pipework.  The problem was easy to identify, once the joints were undone: the main washer was completely worn out.  First challenge, the washer was a non-standard size, nevertheless he took the washers from a new waste pipe kit and said he'd try and fix it using those. Before attempting the repair he said, 'it may work, but if it doesn't, then I'll need to replace these connections and the pipes'. This wouldn't be possible until next week, so I had my fingers crossed. Luckily when we tested it (twice - once for luck), it did indeed work. PTL!

Back to work.

Finished for the day in the early evening and then set to to clear up the fallout from the plumbing work.  I won't bore you with details but it meant finding homes for a few displaced things.  This led naturally on to sorting the rubbish out for bin night and then dinner.

Over dinner we watched some Frankie Boyle and HIGNFY before a team take-the-bins-out exercise, then bed.

Straight to the point: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, album 'B.R.M.C', song 'Love Burns'
