Lockdown Diary - Wednesday 4th November 2020

Working Wednesday with the usual early start for yoga.

And so work is the order of the day.

Today marks the return of one of our carers who's just returned from two weeks holiday in the UK - talk about good timing! It's good to have her back, though I am jealous of the break!

Son #1 departs for Guildford mid-morning to meet his gf for the last time before tomorrow's lockdown, leaving just son #2 and I working at home until the evening.

Quite a lot of background 'noise' about the US elections on some of the work calls I've been on so far today, but to be honest, the way this year has gone so far - on all fronts - I daren't look.

Highlight of the working day was a one-to-one video call with my manager on my new client role - about 70% social call, 30% work - which is just what the day needed, especially as the unwanted visitation by the black dog continues and makes itself at home.

I managed to get out and walk for 30 minutes again as the day was ending - third consecutive day, which is quite a result for the autumn, so far.

Back to work after the walk for another hour and half or so.

I have time to listen to music but am not feeling it at the moment, just can't find a way in to it or the desire to do it.

Son #1 returns having stopped off in town to meet son #3 who is out with mates from uni and school for the last outing before lockdown. Son #1's return is timed nicely to fit in with son #2 making dinner for us all.

Watched the penultimate episode of 'The Third Day' together.  I'm trying to work out how they are going to wrap all this up in the final episode, because the threads are increasing, if anything. Whatever the final outcome, I have really enjoyed this series, it's been quite a singular story and addition to the folk horror canon.

One of the best albums of the year so far has been Johanna Warren's 'Chaotic Good' and from it this is 'Rose Potion'
