Love, Poetry and Revolution - Monday 3rd April 2023

Our first full day in Cornwall, and what a glorious start to the day. The sun is shining and we're planning a day of walking.

Our first port of call after breakfast was Sandymouth Beach.  We went for a long walk on the beach and the cliffs above, with great (?) views of GCHQ Bude in the distance.  After the walk, we stopped for a well-earned drink and a bite to eat at the beach café.  On the menu was fresh white crab meat sandwich, and I could not resist. I was not disappointed.

After Sandymouth we went on a tour of beaches starting at Duckpool, then Crooklets, and finishing at Summerleaze, in Bude.

We had a pasty at Crooklets then walked over the cliffs to the centre of Bude, culminating in a visit to the Brendan Arms, where we met an interesting family and their head honcho who I'll call ND.

After an unforgettable hour, we headed home for pizza, chats and even more laughs.
