Tales From The Crypt - Wednesday 7th July 2021

Wednesday feels like it should be Thursday, for obvious reasons!  Back on the course again this morning, so there's no let up.

Work!

Early evening I stopped work to hopefully watch a flypast of 9 (or maybe 10) RAF Puma helicopters as part of the 50th anniversary of the helicopter in RAF service.  I 'watched' the nine Pumas of 'Ambush' flight take off from RAF Odiham and listened to their radio traffic as they routed across the M4, somewhere to the south of here they were joined by a tenth Puma, callsign 'Airwolf 1', join 'Ambush' formation.  Not long after that I heard them approaching and then saw them as they came into view, a little to the west of here, which was disappointing, but I managed to take a few photos and did at least see them.

Son #3 made dinner ahead of the England v. Denmark game and we all settled in to watch the match.

Well that was edge-of-the-seat stuff at times! I think England deserved to win overall, on balance of play, but there were times it didn't look like they would.

Extra time hasn't helped me as I have to be up early tomorrow: time to sleep!
