Tales From The Crypt - Sunday 6th November 2022

Lazy start to the day, as much sleep was required after yesterday's festival of moving. Continuing on that theme we're heading to the neighbourhood café for a well-earned breakfast by way of a local shop so I can grab a copy of The Observer.

After a very filling full-English breakfast, topped off with pancakes and maple syrup and washed down with coffee we headed to the shops, to grab a few bits and pieces.

We did a bit of exploring around Speke, whilst still managing to not quite get to the airport or even see the river. Our explorations extended into Beatles territory as we travelled via Menlove Avenue (where John Lennon grew up) and past Strawberry Fields. The penny almost dropped and we decided we'd do a Beatles tour of the city sometime over the next few months, probably when it isn't colder than an unmentionable part of a witch, allegedly.

Whilst driving a warning light came up on Q's car indicating that tyre pressure was low. We parked at the university whilst I checked the tyre pressures and pumped up the tyre with low pressure.  Oddly only one was low so we need to check it again soon, just in case it has a slow puncture.

The rest of the day was chilled, spent catching up on some admin whilst listening to this morning's Radcliffe and Maconie show on the Sounds app.

Q made a chicken and leek pie and I did the washing up.

Sometime in the afternoon, I heard the sad news that Mimi Parker of the band Low had died. There's both a lot I could write, but also nothing.

The day begins its journey into the next day, as do we.

Low / 'Shame' / 'Long Division'
