Love, Poetry and Revolution - Saturday 21st January 2023

We've decided we're going out for the day, probably to North Wales, but we'll decide en-route.

Q picked up breakfast (pastries and coffee) from the local bakery and then I drove to Tesco to fill my car up with diesel, not quite to the top though, otherwise we couldn't breathe, obviously.

On the way out of Tesco petrol station we decided to head for Rhyl, as neither of us have been there.  We ate breakfast on the way and left the A55 for Rhyl.

Well, what can I say. E has previously told tales of the place, not very positive tales and now I've seen it for myself. Q said it reminded her of Margate.  I'm sure there must be somewhere nice there, but we didn't stop to find out and instead headed along the coast to Conwy, and in particular Conwy Castle.  I have never seen so many caravans/mobile homes in my life.

The contrast between Conwy and Rhyl couldn't be greater. The castle is impressive and we decide to grab some lunch before doing the full tour, in the cold wind.  Great view of the sea and mountains inland and after a tour and many photographs we headed back to the car for the drive back to Liverpool.

We stopped of at the supermarket we almost started at to grab some vital shopping then return home to make dinner.

Once dinner was on we set about finishing 'Treason', and Q mixed up some dough ready to make cinnamon swirls tomorrow morning.

After eating we finished the fifth and final episode of 'Treason' before clearing up and heading for bed.
