Love, Poetry and Revolution - Tuesday 3rd January 2023

My first full day in Liverpool and the day begins early as Q has to go in to work, and I also have a lot to organise including flowers for my father-in-law's funeral and writing the words I'll say at the service.

Early morning Q messaged to invite me for a coffee at the Starbucks on campus, which I was only too glad to do.  Whilst there, several of Q's colleagues popped in for a coffee and a chat.  What is it with sprouts?

After lunch, I watched an excellent Idler video interview with the Korean economist Ha-Joon Chang talking about Capitalism and food.  It was the recording of an Idler Drinks from before Christmas that I couldn't attend due to socialising.

During the day I read the sad news that Alan Rankine of The Associates had died.

When Q got home I'd managed to finish watching Ha-Joon Chang before Q's mum and daughter returned from town.

We had a delicious dinner together before watching a couple of episodes of 'Boston Legal' together.  I shall soon be a fully-fledged legal eagle. Not.

Time for bed said that springy bloke again.
