Tales From The Crypt - Sunday 2nd October 2022

Woke up in the lodge and had breakfast before moving out into Q's new home across the road.

Two very important things to do: most important of all we're going to collect Q's cat from the other side of the Mersey (Feline across the Mersey...), and on our way, I'm going to buy a copy of The Observer.

Having used both tunnels (Kingsway on the way to collect Bagheera and Queensway on the return journey) we are now home and let Bagheera loose to get used to her new home from home. She was a little wary at first, looking for familiar smells, but before long she was sitting with us and purring away. She'd missed us (well, Q for certain!) and now she's looking forward to seeing Q's daughter, P, again.

Back to clearing up, moving furniture, and emptying boxes again. We've agreed on a plan to set up the lounge so we can watch TV and chill.  Sky visited today and told us we can't have satellite TV owing to the trees between us and the satellite. Fancy putting the satellite there. How inconsiderate. Instead, I'm setting up Freeview, as we don't currently have broadband either. Luckily, I do love playing with TVs and such.

We ate dinner in the dining room, something that's only just become possible, before retiring as we are both very tired again.  Not only that, tomorrow's the big day for Q as she starts her new job as Professor and Dean.  Exciting stuff!

Steve Miller Band / 'Fly Like An Eagle' / 'Fly Like An Eagle'

[[I always think this song has a very trippy, psychedelic, feel to it, which is the reason I really like it, I guess.  Strange to think this is from 1976, a year of immense upheaval in music, certainly in the UK, but also inspired in part by some bands in the USA...Discuss.]]
